Novica Review and Giveaway

Recently I was contacted by Novica to do a review and possible giveaway for them. After looking at the site, it was definitely an offer I couldn't refuse! Novica was designed specifically to give artisan's a chance to sell their designs. This is such a great site. I was thoroughly impressed with the designs that they offer! They offer anything from silver jewelry to home decor that are handmade. They also offer gorgeous necklaces! These artisans are truly gifted!

Each of the artists have a bio that you can view to get an inside glance at the person from whom you are purchasing from. From their website:

Novica offered me a $100 gift certificate to choose anything I wanted from their site to review. I was given the option of using the full amount for me. Tempting, let me tell you!!!! Or...... I can break it up. Use some for myself and the rest as a gift code to one of my readers. Well, I obviously from my title, chose the latter, lol. I used $50 for myself and purchased a beautiful pair of earrings with my birthstone from an Artisan in Thailand. Her products were gorgeous! These earrings are under her sterling silver jewelry and were only $42.95.



Cute, aren't they?? The earring is very delicate looking. I contacted Novica to find out more of how they work with their artists. What kind of commission do they make? The artists get to set their pricing to obtain the amount that they want to make, plus the fee that Novica gets for being the middle man for these sellers. One person I spoke with said that depending on the tier the artists use, they can gain up to 70% commission. I think that is fantastic! This is great for the artists because they gain a reputable place to sell their items without having to do a whole lot of work over what they do with their pieces.
