I love water and will drink it if it tastes acceptable. My tap water? Not so much! So, what do I do? I go and buy case after case of bottled watter. At least there I know the water tastes good and I can flavor it with flavor packets.
Well, I was given the opportunity to review the
Zero Water pitcher. Oh my goodness! Let me tell you! It is fantastic! It comes with a TDS Meter. Yes, I know! You are wondering:
What does the TDS meter do?
The TDS meter helps put a number on what taste buds already tell about what’s in water. The higher the reading on the water, the more things dissolved in water.

A little more about the TDS meter:
How to use the TDS meter?
It’s easy! Push the “on” button, remove the cap and place about an inch deep into the water. Wait for the numbers to stabilize, then push the “hold” button. Remove the meter from the water and see the reading.
What do the numbers mean? Does a reading of 000 tell me that there is nothing in the water?
The meter is showing the total number of detectable dissolved solids.
Why is this important?
The tester empowers one to quickly evaluate the general quality of water weather it’s bottled, tap, filtered, etc. If the number of your filtered water is above 006, it’s time to replace your filters.
Now, I used the TDS Meter on the water in the pitcher and it came out at 001. It was explained in the packet of information that a reading of higher than 000 can be dish detergent residue that was left on the glass.
So, then I went and used the TDS Meter on plain tap water. I about flipped! It read 230! Really??? I couldn't get over the amount of junk in the water that the meter allowed me to put a visual to.

The filter in Zero water goes through five stages of cleaning out your water. ZeroWater® filters have multiple components designed to provide very comprehensive filtration. As of today, the filters have been certified by independent laboratories for reduction of lead, chlorine taste and odor, mercury, hydrogen sulfide, chromium, aluminum, zinc, and iron. This list is updated frequently as ZeroWater®’s goal is to obtain more certifications that any other gravity fed system.
I found this water to be so clean tasting! It really tastes like water should. Now for the giveaway :)
